Biographical Note for MORTON'S NEUROMA

Morton, Thomas George (1835–1903), American surgeon. Morton published the first complete description of a form of metatarsalgia involving compression of a branch of the plantar nerve in 1876. Although it had been already observed, the condition has since become identified with him.
